Creative Brands Group saw an opportunity to license LIFE photographs to extend their reach into new and diverse product lines. Creative Brands Group also saw an opportunity to revitalize iconic images for a new generation by utilizing modern technology to add color and enhance detail.

Creative Brands Group contacted LIFE to establish a license agreement that would give them authority to reprint the images on various media and to enhance the photographs as well. Creative Brands Group prevailed in convincing LIFE that the colorizing of certain images would make them more appealing to younger generations. Having managed the Thomas Kinkade brand for years, Creative Brands Group is intimately familiar with artists and their associated production studios and sought out the most qualified artisans to assist with the colorization and enhancement of the images. Simultaneously, the Creative Brands Group team began to assemble licensees to manufacture and distribute these newly branded items. |
Over 70 years of publishing created a library of over 20 million images to which Creative Brands Group now has access along with the name, LIFE. Management and Maximization efforts are ongoing but thus far Creative Brands Group has established relationships with 10 licensees and their products are widely available throughout the United States and Japan.
